Exascale Computing Project

In 2016, the United States Department of Energy launche the Exascale Computing Project to accelerate delivery of a capable exascale computing ecosystem for breakthroughs in scientific discovery, energy assurance, economic competitiveness, and national security.
The U.S. lattice-gauge-theory community is fortunate to have one of the ECP projects. Work is coordinated by the Steering Committee:
  • Andreas Kronfeld (PI), Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
  • Richard Brower, Boston University
  • Norman Christ, Columbia University
  • Carleton DeTar, University of Utah
  • Robert Edwards, Thomas Jefferson Laboratory National Facility
The scientific work is organized into four groups, Software (Carleton DeTar, group leader), Solvers (Rich Brower), Critical Slowing Down (Norman Christ), and Contractions (Robert Edwards).
If you have questions, or would like to explore getting involved, please contact the appropriate group leader.
